Cisco Bug: CSCum88460 - Changing from SQL To Windows Authentication on TMS Server

Last Modified

Dec 23, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Management Server

Known Affected Releases

14.3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The configuration specified in our TMS Admin Guide documentation for Windows Authentication is unclear for the average admin of TMS to follow and correctly implement. We specify that the user should create multiple SQL login and user accounts for both the IIS APPPOOL and tms-databaseservice but did not mention anything regarding the creation of a login account for the TMS Computer object.

This instruction does not work and is confusing since one cannot find the TMSNet40AppPool user account to provide SQL login access.

Please see CSCum80576 for the proper instructions of enabling this hidden account in TMS.

Conditions:
Unable to switch TMS From SQL Authentication to Windows Authentication with the provided documentation.
