Cisco Bug: CSCum72916 - FB: show forwarding route command fails to respond during route churn

Last Modified

Aug 22, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

6.1(2)I1(1.143)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
CLI response (especially for BGP and route show commands) are slow when a large amount of routes are being programmed. This was seen, when advertising or withdrawing a large amount of routes. (100k v4 routes). After the Route programming completes, the cli returns to normal. This is due to the N9508 giving route programming the priority over cli.

Conditions:
This occurs when a large amount of routes are being added or removed from hardware.
