Description (partial)

Symptom:
Catalyst 6500 Sup2T or Catalyst 6880 based VSS may experience instability along with control-plane protocols (Like OSPF, HSRP etc.) reporting timeout/failures.

LMP times out with following messages:

%VSLP-SW1-3-VSLP_LMP_FAIL_REASON: Te1/2/1: Peer info mismatch in hello packet
OR
%VSLP-SW2-3-VSLP_LMP_FAIL_REASON: Te1/2/5: Link down
%VSLP-SW2-2-VSL_DOWN:   Last VSL interface Te1/2/5 went down
OR
%SATMGR-SW2-3-ERR_DUAL_ACTIVE_DETECT_INCAPABLE: channel group <port-ch #> is no longer dual-active detection capable

Conditions:
This issue is seen in Catalyst 6500 / 6800 VSS with Sup2T engines running 15.1 SY releases.
AND
WS-X6904-40G ports in the same port-group are used for both VSL and FEX port-channel.
(port-group #1: ports 5-12 and port-group #2: ports 13-20)

6880X VSS VSL Link down
Hi I have a pair of 6880x switches setup as a VSS pair with 2 x 10G VSL links between then and also a 1G dual active detection link. All links are on different line cards. The switch is due to go into production in a weeks time. I noticed that the port on the active switch for one of the vsl links went into error disable state, VSL stays up as this only affect one link in the port-channel.
