Last Modified

Nov 09, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls

Known Affected Releases

8.4(0.210) 9.0(2) 9.1

Description (partial)

The 8.4 docs show the following in the Doc:

"A jumbo frame is an Ethernet packet larger than the standard maximum of
1518 bytes (including Layer 2 header and FCS), up to 9216 bytes."

The 9.1x docs are completely wrong

"Accommodating jumbo frames? If your model supports jumbo frames, you can
set the MTU up to 9216 bytes.?

Which should be clarified to l2/l3 mtu different values?.

Need more info in ASA 8.4 and 9.1 documentation
