Cisco Bug: CSCum61628 - Conductor Advanced Template Parameters Don't Change TS Settings

Last Modified

Apr 03, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Conductor

Known Affected Releases

XC2.2RC1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Conductor XC2.2.1
Telepresence Server 3.1
CUCM 9.1.1
There isn't a way to disable continuous presence on multiscreen endpoints joined to Conductor controlled Telepresence Server conferences.
On the Conductor under Conference Configuration>Configuration Templates - Advanced Template Parameters:Multiscreen layout; I checked the box and change the option to "single" (this had no effect)

Logs verified that the following option was sent by the conductor to the Telepresence Server in the conference.create message:

<value><struct> <member> <name>displayDefaultLayoutMultiScreen</name> <value><string>layoutSingle</string></value> </member>

The Telepresence Server appears to ignore this setting and still displays the "continuous presence" panels at the bottom of the screen.

I reviewed the Diagnostic Log on the Conductor and it appears the options are pushed in the XML, and the Telepresence Server responds back with an "operation successful", but the changes do not have an effect, the continuous presence panels remain.

When I modify the advanced template parameters for single-screen layout the conference reflect the change.

Conditions:
Conductor XC2.2.1 Rendevous Conference on a Telepresence Server 3.1 with (2) CTS 500 Endpoints 1.9.3 (1) CTS 3000 1.10.3 registered to CUCM 9.1.
(I did the recreate with both a Virtual Telepresence Server, and a Hardware Telepresence Server)

The CTS 3000 displays the single screen active participant full screen, and the second unit in continuous presence.
