Cisco Bug: CSCum56329 - Strings with non-UTF-8 characters may be truncated
Apr 09, 2015
- Cisco Network Registrar
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Strings returned by the CNR-SDK may be truncated. The SDK uses a Java function to convert strings to Java strings. This function assumes the input string is UTF-8 and if it contains non-UTF-8 characters, it will convert the character to a question mark (?). However, the function also truncates the string by one character for each invalid UTF-8 character. Conditions: Non-UTF-8 characters are in the string.
