Cisco Bug: CSCum53396 - ASA CX doesn't handle case sensitivity for domain names correctly

Last Modified

Dec 04, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA Next-Generation Firewall Services

Known Affected Releases

9.2(2.1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Capitalized domain names configured in CX may cause policies created with that domain not to be properly matched.

For example, if we had domain CISCO.com and we created an access-policy for user:
CISCO.com\testuser

The access-policy may not match testuser as the domain is in all capitals.

Conditions:
This only occurs if the domain name that is defined in the realm is all capitals.
