Cisco Bug: CSCum48813 - CX: SAS update causes Heimdall to miss monocle and TLS proxy heartbeats

Last Modified

Feb 23, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA Next-Generation Firewall Services

Known Affected Releases

9.2(1.1.48)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Under rare situations, the CX may force the monocle (HTTP inspector) and TLS proxy processes to restart. This happens when an update job fails or takes too long to run.

Core files will be created under /var/data/cores/sysmgr-forced-cores. The contents of this directory can be viewed via the CX CLI using the 'support diagnostic' command.

Conditions:
This issue occurs when the CX's automatic pattern update runs. Not all update jobs will be affected and the CX may update correctly after a second try.
