Symptom: There are two symptoms for this issue 1) Gig 0/4 is not getting selected as sync-e clock source, it always goes to internal or another source after flap. 2) Gig0/4 flaps (if the carrier-delay msec is 0), or momentary traffic drops in gig0/4. Conditions: For symptom 1 : ++++++++++++ 1. Gig 0/4 has media-type as SFP. 2. Gig 0/4 is configured as network-clock source with high priority. 3. When gig0/4 is selected as clock source, the link flaps once and the next source is selected. 4. If revertive is set, the gig0/4 link flaps continuously and finally goes down as err-disable. For symptom 2: +++++++++++++ 1. Gig 0/4 has media-type as SFP 2. Gig 0/5 - Gig 0/7 is configured as network-clock source. 3. Gig 0/5 - Gig 0/7 is selected as clock source, Gig 0/4 has a momentary flap and comes up.
