Last Modified

Jan 29, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Packet Transport (CPT) System

Known Affected Releases

9.70

Description (partial)

Symptom:
PTP7- Working: NE4-NE2, Protect: NE4-NE1-NE2
PTP8- Working: NE2-NE3, Protect: NE2-NE1-NE3
Unprotected MSPW VCID: 121-656 [ [source]NE4----TP7--NE2—TP8-----NE3[Destination]]

I did link between NE1-NE2 admin down state so that TP7 and TP8 protect path will be down.
I performed TP shut and no-shut of TP7 and observed bidirectional traffic is not flowing on PW even though TP7 and TP are UP

We are using private image where to logging buffer is disabled to avoid unnecessary print on console so that we can improve CPU usage.

Conditions:
1.	Do MDS profile configuration.[ Details attached]
2.	Send traffic on all services
3.	Shut link between NE1 and NE2
4.	Shut and no-shut TP7
