Cisco Bug: CSCum29183 - AP keeps sending frames to PS client after NDP PM1 Ack
Jul 09, 2014
- Cisco Aironet 3700 Series Access Points
Known Affected Releases
Symptom:A Cisco AP may attempt to send a data frame to a client even after the client has gone into powersave mode. I.e. the client sends a null data frame to the AP with PS=1 and the AP ACKs it, but the AP immediately then sends, or attempts to send, a data frame to that client. If the client has not yet gone to sleep (or gone offchannel), the client may ACK that data frame. If it is asleep/offchannel, so that the data frame from the AP is not ACKed, then the AP may send a series of RTS frames, which do not elicit a CTS. Conditions:Cisco 11n AP with a client that is configured for powersave.
