Cisco Bug: CSCum29053 - BGP over VRF-lite should log peer VPNv4/v6 prefix instead of just IP

Last Modified

Feb 09, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco IOS

Known Affected Releases

15.2(4)S4.15

Description (partial)

Symptom:

When using BGP to establish peering over different VRFs (VRF-lite config), only the IP address of the peer is reported in log messages. This creates ambiguities if the same addressing scheme is used in the different VRFs and BGP establishes peering with neighbors having the same IP in a different VRF

Conditions:
Establish BGP peering in multiple VRFs (VRF-lite) to peer with the same IP.
