Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

5.1.3.FWDG

Description (partial)

When IPv4 native multicast traffic (from multicast source in VRF towards core) is sent over, a bundle-ether interface (with multiple member links), sometimes the link selection is not correct.

Symptom:
1) If IPv4 native multicast traffic is sent over, a bundle-ether interface (with multiple member links), sometimes the link selection is not correct.
2) The member link selected for carrying the IPv4 native multicast traffic is not matching to the link displayed by bundle-ether utility.

Conditions:
1) This issue is seen with bundle-ether having members from MSC-40, FP-140 and MSC-400 LCs (of CRS-X)
2) This issue is seen when the original link selected by the hash-selection logic is administratively shut (or unshut) OR removed from (or added to) the bundle, which triggers the bundle member re-hash / hash selection logic.
