Last Modified

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

7.5(102.0) 7.6(95.13)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
WLC GUI/CLI may show that channel 144 is assigned for Japan 802.11ac APs AIR-RM3000AC-Q-K9= or AIR-AP3702I/E-Q-K9= while channel 144 (5720MHz) is not included in Japan regulation for WiFi APs.

WLC GUI: WIRELESS > Access Points > Radios > 802.11a/n/ac
You may see the display like this;
(136, 132, 140, 144)*

It is confirmed that this is only display issue and the AP/module is not using the channel 144. There is no radio emission on the frequency 572UM179890MHz by those AP/module.

Conditions:
Japan specific AIR-CAP3702I/E-Q-K9= and AIR-RM3000AC-Q-K9= are affected.

DCA bandwidth is configured by user to use 80MHz (Default 20MHz).
DCA is configured as Auto (Default Auto)
