Cisco Bug: CSCum16855 - cdm_rs and iedge crash and continuous respawn
Jan 12, 2017
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: when LC OIR is done repeatedly, after many times you might see this issue. when the issue happens then the RP iedge / cdm_rs / dhcpd will crash continuously. the reason is the CDM database size would have reached maximum limit which is 1 GB. Conditions: This is a memory leak.when LC OIR happens, the trigger to delete the session does not come on the iedge component on LC. Due to this the removal of the sessions is missing on LC. Upon LC reload the interface handle changes and that is used by iedge today as a primary search key(unique search key per subscriber/object). Hence when a search is done on the RP, it will not find a match. Due to this the new object gets added even if the same subscriber data is present in the shared memory.
