Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

ASA memory exhaustion caused by inefficient allocation of resources.

This was found in 8.4(7), although the same issue probably exists in all other versions. This
issue was reproduced when HTTP inspection was enabled on ASA and when huge number of
connections was established over TCP port 80. It should be noted that other inspection engines
can be affected as well.
