Cisco Bug: CSCum03753 - DRS should not restore if domain name does not match.
Feb 04, 2017
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: DRS should not restore if the domain name on the server does not match what it's in the backup. Doing so would cause the certificates that are restored to not match the identity of the server. For example, if a backup was taken when the hostname is cucm86-pub and the domain is cisco.com, all the certificates are using CN=cucm86-pub, DC=cisco, DC=com. Let's say we restore the backup onto a new server, but the domain name is now different. The restore will complete successfully, but all of the certificates are using the domain name from the backup. Conditions: Take a backup of a server and try to restore after changing the domain name, or installing on a fresh server that has a different or no domain name configured.
