Cisco Bug: CSCul94524 - WLAN with WebAuth + Flex Local Switch + Anchor function broken on 7.4

Last Modified

Jul 27, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

7.4(110.0) 7.6(130.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Upgrading the 5508 controller to 7.4.110.0 makes the functionality of an SSID configured with WebAuth + Flexconnect Local Switching + Anchor, to stop working.

The traffic of the Wireless Clients connecitng to a Flexconnect AP to an SSID with the above mentioned configuration, gets anchored to the Anchor controller, which was not happening on the controller running 7.2 code.

Other SSIDs on the same controller running 7.4.110.0 are working fine, as they don't have WebAuth configured for security, they are using WPA 2 PSK.

Conditions:
When an SSID is configured with WebAuth + Flexconnect Local Switching + Anchor, on a controller running 7.4.110.0.

The client gets anchored to the Anchor controller, even when the Wireless Client is connecting to Flexconnect AP.

On Previous Codes, the Client used to stay on the Foreign controller with the same SSID configuration when connecting to the Flexconnect AP
