Symptom:
When opening CRES or IEA encrypted envelopes which contain attachments, you may see the following Java exception reported:

basic: exception: Bad applet class name.

                at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.initAppletAdapter(Unknown Source)

The envelope should load successfully despite this error message.

This error occurs with the envelope tools applet, which is only used for messages which contain attachments.

The issue has been observed to occur in Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 with Java version 7 update 45, but may occur in other versions as well.
