Last Modified

Sep 14, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure

Known Affected Releases

2.0(0.0.294)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In Prime Infrastructure, interface speed value is updated only during the Inventory Collection job which is triggered manually (Sync button on DWC) or as a part of the Switch Inventory Background Task which is running daily at 10PM.

In such case PI user can see discrepancy between what PI is showing (status from 10PM or last synchronization) and the real status on the device.

Following pages are affected:
DWC > Device IP > Interfaces > Ethernet Interfaces
Clients and Users > Client > Session -> Interface

This value should be updated in the real time or with the configured interval.

Conditions:
1) Change the port speed after Inventory Collection job (scheduled at 10 PM) or after manual synchronization.
2) Go to DWC > Device IP > Interfaces > Ethernet Interfaces or
Clients and Users > Client > Session -> Interface
3) The interface speed is not updated
