Cisco Bug: CSCul85374 - UDLD interface config in NXOS sometimes not updated when policy is empty

Last Modified

Mar 06, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Computing System

Known Affected Releases

2.2(1)AS11 2.2(1)AS7 2.2(1)AS8 2.2(1)AS9

Description (partial)

Symptom:
UDLD configuration is not getting applied on an uplink port in NXOS because UCSM fails to resolve UDLD policy to the 'default' when the 'UDLD' policy is left empty

Conditions:
This does not happen in all scenarios. It depends on order of configuration. If an eth-link-profile is applied to a uplink interface and that eth-link-profile is pointing to some udld-link-policy then configuration gets applied correctly. Later, if user clears the udld-link-policy, i.e. leaves it empty, UDLD link policy resolution does not happen correctly and consequently the configuration in NXOS, at the interface level is not updated.
