Known Affected Releases

5.5.0.0 5.5.1.0

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Transcoding audio from any source format into Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus on DCM MFP, and configuring the sample rate of these transcodings to 'Follow Input' might lead to an undefined behavior when the input source does not use 48 kHz as the sample rate.

Conditions:
When configuring audio transcoding from any source format into Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus by making use of ABR Channel Templates on VSM, the sample rate of these transcodings is always incorrectly set to 'Follow Input'. This should be 48 kHz instead. As the audio components of the vast majority of the sources are encoded by making use of a sample rate of 48 kHz, it is considered to be a rare scenario that the system will behave in an undefined way.
