Cisco Bug: CSCul71323 - WE: datasource hung after stress test of max-age=5
Jun 21, 2020
- Cisco Content Delivery Engine Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After traffic stopped, run CLI "show statistics web-engine detail", "Active DataSource" is not zero. However, these hanging data source are just lost in web engine and will not have any bad impact on delivery service, except that corresponding memory is leaked. Conditions: 1, web engine HTTPS traffic; 2, contents in origin server will be updated. In this circumstance, if data transfer between current SE and its upstream is interrupted due to network congestion or upstream overloaded, DiskCacheFileDataSource will go into "error" state. In this scenario, its reference count will be deceased by mistake, as a result, it will never be released. Also, if web engine try to reuse an existing error state data source after refresh checking with upstream, it will create a CacheBypassStandaloneDataSource but never use it, which is the other source of hang data sources.
