Description (partial) 

Symptom:
Caption text appears as semi-transparent when set character colour as black

Conditions:
Launch closed caption, set background/window style as solid and background/window colour as black in background settings and character style - solid, color - black, size - standard, font - mono, edge as noedge values in character settings. Select preview in background/ character settings, it 's been observed that, text displayed in semi-transparent style.
