Cisco Bug: CSCul65148 - HSRP MGO slave groups for IPv6 uses BIA instead of vMAC
Jul 21, 2018
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: HSRP MGO slave groups send out router advertisement with interface MAC instead of vMAC address. Consequently the L2 network behind ASR9k does not learn the vMAC address and floods the frames destined to v6 HSRP group address. Conditions: When IPv6 HSRP have MGO enabled slave groups are impacted.
