Description (partial)

Symptom:
In CUCM web administration, when configuring an MGCP FXS Loop Start or MGCP FXS Ground Start port, you are required to enter a directory number in the Attendant DN field. This configuration is mandatory, but does not change the behavior of the port. Going off hook on the MGCP FXS port will give you dialtone regardless of the Attendant DN field configuration. It will not result into a call to the Attendant DN.

Conditions:
Configuring an FXS Loop Start or FXS Ground Start port on an MGCP gateway in CUCM versions 5.x or later.
