Description (partial)

Rogue APs are mistaken as infrastructure devices. Thus, the WIPS alarms (such as deauth, spoofed mac address) are falsely triggered later.

Rogue devices (unassociated with Cisco AP) send data packet (such as data null) to Cisco AP. 
That will cause WIPS falsely think rogue devices as part of infrastructure devices.
