Description (partial)

Symptom: 
Internal serial 0 interface will stay up even if DTR drops.

Conditions:
This symptom is observed when serial 0 is running in DCE V.24 (RS-232) mode under the following conditions:

1. Serial was up/up and working.
2. Attached equipment was powered off.
3. Serial interface stayed up/up, even though DTR from attached equipment went inactive or down.
