Cisco Bug: CSCul41447 - ASA: Memory leak with WebVPN and HTTP server enabled simultaneously

Last Modified

Nov 27, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software

Known Affected Releases

9.0(3.6)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
If an ASA with WebVPN enabled also has 'http' commands configured, the ASA will see a memory leak each time WebVPN is disabled and re-enabled. The total bytes consumed by the 65536 binsize in the output of 'show memory detail' will continue to rise.

Conditions:
This can be triggered either through manual configuration on an Active firewall, or through the use of the 'write standby' command on a Standby firewall (note that 'write standby' should not be used under normal circumstances).
Bug details contain sensitive information and therefore require a Cisco.com account to be viewed.
