Last Modified

May 08, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Switches

Known Affected Releases

6.0(2) 6.2(3)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
'slot' commands are not logged properly in the onboard accounting or AAA server logs. If the previous command uses redirection, the 'slot' command will show as combined with it in the accounting log:

cli alias name a2 echo "start" >> tmp ; slot 8 sh ver >> tmp

After running the alias:

  # show accounting log | last 1
  Tue Nov 1 01:02:03 2013:type=update:id=mypc@pts1:user=me:cmd=echo "start" >> tmp ; slot 8 sh ver (SUCCESS)

Conditions:
This issue occurs when the 'slot' command is prepended by another command in a cli alias.
