Cisco Bug: CSCul34897 - Error while configuring Scansafe Policies in CSM

Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

4.5(0)QA9 4.7(0)SP1

Description (partial)

While configuring Scansafe policies using the wizard on CSM, the application doesn't let the user configure an inspect policy-map without containing an inspect class-map with a match condition and action. It gives an error "Value Required - A buildingblock object must include at least one entry. No entries were added". However that inspect class map is an optional part of the configuration as per the CLI guide, and is not needed. It is only needed for whitelisting/blacklisting user-names.

CSM will not allow a push of a config that is just:

policy-map type inspect scansafe http-pmap

It requires something like this:

class-map type inspect scansafe match-any whiteListCmap
  match user LOCAL\user1
policy-map type inspect scansafe http-pmap
    class whiteListCmap

Relevant config guide:

- Observed on CSM 4.7 SP1
- Configuring Scansafe redirection in MPF on ASA
