Cisco Bug: CSCul27199 - In MPLS TP provisioning ,error is not clear where TP link was missed
Apr 27, 2015
- Cisco Carrier Packet Transport (CPT) System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: In MPLS TP provisioning ,error message is not indicating the exact node where the TP link was missed Conditions: 1) Assume: we are going to configure MID-point tunnel between (A - B - C - D - E) nodes. 2) Don't configure the MPLS TP link config on node-C facing towards node-D. 3) Then, Configure the MID-POINT TUNNEL between from node-A to node-E via B,C and D nodes. 4) Since, there is no TP link config on node-C facing towards node-D, CTC will throw error: ?Valid route is not found?. This is expected. 5) But, when we check the error details, it always indicates the drop(source/dest) nodes instead of the correct node. 6) So, when we choose the tunnel path automatically and hit the error then its TOP to find the exact node where the link config was missing.
