Description (partial)

146/300/500GB & 1TB/2TB Seagate HDDs may stop responding under certain conditions.

This can happen when the drive asserts too many times in a short period of time which leads to an assert storm.  When this happens, the drive will stop responding  to all commands until the drive can be power cycled(usually via a reboot of the server).
