Description (partial)

A Cisco router does not give the necessary failure information if the crypto NIST/KAT tests on boot fail. During test failures, users will not be notified. The logs do not contain information on the failures.

This symptom occurs with a crypto NIST/KAT self test. The message below is a generic message and is not specific to a crypto self test failure.

*Nov 5 17:48:19.128: %CMRP-3-CHASSIS_MONITOR_READY_TIME_EXCEEDED:cmand: Reloading F0 because it has failed to become ready for packet processing

This message does not give enough information for the user to take a proper course of action.
