Cisco Bug: CSCul11613 - Non-initial fragments may match class-maps with l4 port info

Last Modified

May 13, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

4.2.0.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
On an ASR 9000 ethernet or enhanced ethernet linecards, non-initial fragments of a packet incorrectly match to an MQC class-map, when that class-map uses an ACL with l4 port info.

Conditions:
This may happen in uncommon conditions where the payload data of the fragment immediately following the IP header corresponds to the L4 port info in the class-map's ACL.

For IPV6 egress packets on enhanced ethernet linecards, this may also occur when a very recent previous packet through the system has L4 info corresponding to the L4 port info in the class-map's acl.
