Description (partial)
Symptom: The CPS-SS-4RU RAID controller hangs and the external storage is not accessible. Conditions: System configuration: - UCS-B server - CPS-SS-4RU + CPS-SS-4RU-EX with mixed 2TB and 3TB drives, RAID5 ( 9+1) - VMWare version 5.0 - RHEL 5.8 - VSM 7.x 1. Begin deploying VMs from a VM template. The VMs were being deployed to the same datastore that held the template. 2. Once a VM was fully deployed, clone that VM to a different datastore on the same CPS-SS-4RU system. The two datastores must be on different controllers. 3. An CPS-SS-4RU controller failure is encountered shortly after the clone is executed
