Cisco Bug: CSCul11173 - Allow deactivation of Initial Config validation Check
May 04, 2016
- Cisco Videoscape AnyRes Packager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Allow user to disable initial channel validation. By default, the channel will not begin publishing until the initial channel validation passes. This validation checks that detected stream properties match configured stream properties. Conditions: Bypass of initial validation allows channels to possibly publish when there is a configuration mismatch on channel startup. A new parameter is introduced in the "/usr/local/cme/conf/cme_config.xml" file in the Channel section as follows: <parameter key="InitialValidationRequired">0x1</parameter> By default, validation is set for required (value "0x1"). To disable validation, set the value to "0x0" as: <parameter key="InitialValidationRequired">0x0</parameter> The CME service must be restarted ("service cmed restart") for this change to take affect. CAUTION: When software is installed/upgraded, the cme_config.xml file is overwritten, so users will need to reapply any changes that were made to maintain the desired functionality across releases.
