Cisco Bug: CSCul10992 - FIND_FIRST2 sent for DFS path needs to be passed through at CORE
Feb 11, 2018
- Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) Appliances
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: CORE(CIFSAO TxFlow) is sending extra FIND_NEXT2 requests as part of FIND_FIRST2 handling for large directories(for full directory enumeration/ prefetch) even though EDGE(CIFSAO RxFlow) decided not to optimize the FIND_FIRST2 traffic due to DFS path as search pattern. Since EDGE is not optimizing DFS paths and CORE is enumerating entire directory, the FIND_NEXT2 command sent by client is forwarded to Server and Server sent error because the Search ID is already closed by Core generated requests. Conditions: accessing a large directory with DFS path that requires the core WAE to send out a FIND_NEXT2 request.
