Description (partial)

Symptom:
Redundant RP if configures as MPLS-VPN CSC-PE and with BGP graceful result enabled, BGP sends an incorrect BGP open message (wrong attribute length).  It will cause BGP peering not able to be established.  The symptom will be repeated BGP notification by the neighbor for incorrect BGP open message.

Conditions:
1) Redundant RP
2) MPLS-VPN CSC-PE
3) BGP Graceful-restart

All three conditions must be present in order to see the problem.

Sample configuration will be:

redundancy
 mode sso

vrf definition <name>
  address-family ipv4

router bgp <AS>
 bgp graceful-restart
 address-family ipv4 vrf <name>
  neighbor <IP or peer-group> send-label
