Cisco Bug: CSCul04693 - Service State of Y-Cable protected ports is not reported in GCC tab

Last Modified

May 08, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco Prime Optical

Known Affected Releases

10.0(0.0.261) 10.0(2.0.1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The Port Service State of a GCC created between two Y-Cable protected OTU4 client ports is not correctly represented in GCC tab.

Conditions:
Configure a couple of 100G-CK-C cards as TXP_100G and provision OTU4 payload type on client ports. Create a Y-Cable Protection group between the two client ports.
Provision a GCC on client port: the GCC can be created only on the working client port, but the communication channel traffic is carried by the port that is actually the Active port. The Active port might be the Working or the Protect port depending on the Y-Cable protection status. That's the reason why the GCC Port Service State shall be reported in the GCC tab, while in Prime Optical that information is missing.
