Mar 24, 2019
- Cisco IOS
Known Affected Releases
None Symptom: Static ARP entries may not be correctly reflected in the CEF adjacency, causing CEF and hardware forwarding to apply the wrong layer 2 encap to packets, potentially causing packet loss or mis forwarding. Conditions: The problem only occur for static ARP entries, and is only known to be triggered if the MAC string is changed on an existing static ARP entry. Using <CmdBold>show arp<noCmdBold> and <CmdBold>show adjacency detail<noCmdBold> you can verify if the encapsulation string of the adjacency contain the correct MAC address for the ARP entry.
