In Cisco we have about 27,000 third party users who uses various different clients such as Pidgin, Adium as we are trying to get these users to move to Jabber Client they are reporting the feature parity , and bugs on Jabber like this making those users to stay away from the Jabber adoption.

Symptom:
When a Third party client like (Pidgin) is invited from Jabber Client (Mac or Windows) in a Group Chat when Pidgin user types an apostrophe into the chat, Cisco Jabber users see \' (backlash-apostrophe) instead of ' (apostrophe).

Conditions:
Happens during group Chat invites from Jabber Client to Pidgin Client
