Cisco Bug: CSCuj89070 - [CSCD40]Cisco install docs refer to an unsupported by customers command

Last Modified

Dec 01, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Computing System

Known Affected Releases

2.3(100.85)A

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The Cisco Installation documents refer to an unsupported command.

Conditions:
The "no sig check" is an engineering-only option for use prior to submitting a driver VIB for the official VMware submission.

The "esxupdate" command no longer is supported in 5.x. It's replaced with the esxcli command tree, which also has a no sig check option, which here too is only for engineering teams prior to cert submission.
