Cisco Bug: CSCuj88618 - [NG-ROADM] FEC Mode setting ignored prevents circuit creation with CRS
Jun 30, 2014
- Cisco ONS 15454 Series Multiservice Provisioning Platforms
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: FEC Mode setting ignored prevents circuit creation with CRS Conditions: 1) Consider a NG-DWDM Network with 2 nodes, having respectively MD9 and MD4-Extended configurations, directly connected on a span and passing through a Legacy OLA site on another span. A CRS is connected to MD9 node. 2) Create an OCHTrail between the 100G PLIM on the CRS and Titano card trunk port at MD4-Extended node, changing FEC Mode on NFV and applying modifications made before pushing Create button. => The circuit creation fails with "No Route Available" error message because: a) if the source node is the CRS, the FEC Mode setting has failed on Alien Wavelengths of MD9 node; b) if the source node is the MD4-Extended, the FEC Mode setting has failed on Alien Wavelengths of MD9 node and on CRS DWDM interface. Note also that error message reported is wrong: "No available TXP at destination node" should be reported instead of "No Route Available" error message.
