Description (partial)

This is an enhancement filed to investigate how the ASA's memory handling system might be improved.

The ASA's app-cache is a system that holds memory elements for quick re-use, as opposed to returning them back to the global shared pool of memory. This improves the performance of the ASA when performing tasks such as creating new connections and translations.

Some administrators are alarmed when the free memory does not increase immediately when the number of connections on the ASA decreases.
