Cisco Bug: CSCuj78024 - IP Phone error when using HTTPS screen scraping to monitor CTS

Last Modified

Apr 29, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence System 3000 Series

Known Affected Releases

1.10.0 1.10.1 1.10.2 1.10.3 1.9.0 1.9.1 1.9.2 1.9.3 1.9.4 1.9.5 1.9.6

Description (partial)

After normal operation for a period of time, the codec System Status pane shows a red X for Touch after the IP phone goes unresponsive; it correctly shows "Phone" when the IP phone is functional. The Device Information page upon initial GUI login shows:

Cisco TelePresence Touch MAC Address: No info, please check device connections
Cisco TelePresence Touch Software Version: No info, please check device connections

IP phone will show as "Unregistered" from CUCM Admin page. CTS will still be registered.
IP phone screen may show "Configuring IP" or "Registering" but ulitimately fail.

If endpoint is left in this state, the codec itself MAY go unresponsive (e.g. no web page or ssh access, potential unregistration from CUCM).

- CTS first generation codecs (CTS-CODEC-PRIM or CTS-CODEC-PRI-G2) with IP phones attached running CTS 1.9.X or higher software.
- Codecs are monitored through external, custom monitoring system that specifically screen scraps the System Status pane.
- Codecs using touch panels are not affected
