Cisco Bug: CSCuj58197 - EIM-WIM 9.0(1) ES3 installer non-consistent about installation order

Last Modified

Jun 04, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified E-Mail Interaction Manager

Known Affected Releases

9.0(1) 9.0(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Cisco Unified Web Interaction Manager Enterprise Release 9.0(1) ES3 installer is giving different information about the installation order in the 'Update Summary' screen in the beginning compared to the 'Installation Status' screen in the end of the ES installation on the File server.

When installer is started on the File server 'Update Summary' screen says:

This update must be applied on the following server(s):
1) File Server
2) Services Server
3) Web server

While after ES3 is installed on the File server final 'Installation Status' screen says:

This update still needs to be applied on the following server(s):

1. real hostname of the WEB server is given
2. real hostname of the Services server is given

Hence the conclusion is that first screen instructs installation order SVC then WEB while the last screen instructs order as WEB then SVC which is not consistent.

Conditions:
EIM-WIM 9.0(1) ES3 Installation
