Description (partial)

Symptom:
Nexus 6000 logs the following error message:
%USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: Bigsur slot 0 asic 0 group 1: Fatal fi_bip_errors interrupt asserted 0xffff - bigsurusd
%USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: BIP_ERRORS on Module 1 asic 0 group 1 lane 0: timestamp 0; current_time 0; Register 0xffff - bigsurusd

Conditions:
40G connections are used on a Nexus 6000. The error message should be intermittent.

The error messages can occur during normal operation. If the frequency of error messages is high or if they occur at periodic intervals, it can cause traffic disruption and in some circumstances bring interfaces down.

If the error messages are logged during a Nexus 6000 module boots up AND the module is failed to boot up repeatly, the error messages is likely caused by a faulty hardware, not this bug.

These specific type of error messages should not be seen in NX-OS images with the fix for this issue and thus we should not be seeing any traffic loss after upgrade.
