Description (partial)

In each seamless alternate splice, the mismatch of the previous splice is added to the splice time. This makes that the splice accuracy increases over time and over splices. This increase restarts at the moment that a splice to the initial main feed is executed (the mismatch is reset at that moment). The maximum splice accuracy increase that is possible is 6s. Once this upper limit is reached, a non-seamless splice will be executed and the mismatch or increase is reset to zero.

Seamless alternates is configured in such a way that no switches back to the initial main feed are executed.
