Cisco Bug: CSCuj47096 - ENH: SIP pinhole conns shoudnt timeout as per expires in parent conn
Apr 27, 2020
- Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
Known Affected Releases
8.2(5.41) 8.4(6.5) 9.0(3) 9.1(2.6)
Symptom: ASA tears down a SIP connection with reason "Connection Timeout" if it is idle for a duration set by "expires" parameter or "Expires" header of the Parent connection. This enhancement request is created to develop a better logic of setting the idle timeout because the expires parameter/header might be set to very low values in Register requests. Conditions: 1. ASA is configured to inspect SIP. 2. The affected connection is a child connection, i.e. it was initiated by a SIP endpoint as per Contact (and Via) header that it received from another SIP UA in a transaction it responded to earlier.
